The Professional Workplace Mediator Programme is targeted at those looking to take on a formal Mediator role. This NHS specific training course has been carefully tailored to those working in the healthcare sector.

Delivered across 6 days, in Dudley this May. (*Please note the course runs for 6 days within the stated date range. Attendance days are Tuesday 21st May, Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Monday 28th-Wednesday 30th.)

Core mediation skills are of real value for personal development: for listening, facilitation, empathy and delivering emotional intelligence. The participant will develop the skills needed to effectively resolve workplace disputes, by harnessing interpersonal differences to increase productivity and harmony in the workplace.

In summary, the course will provide a theoretical understanding to provide the best possible foundation to implement mediation processes. It will also teach core skills that are essential for successful mediation, and how individual differences can be best adapted to. There will also be a focus on how to best encourage participation in mediation, and an understanding will be developed of how successful mediation outcomes are achieved.

The course comprises of 40 hours of classroom learning, which will be delivered in 2 separate 3-day segments. This course will be delivered by Anna Finlayson, one of CMP’s most experienced mediators and trainers, and Janet Fox, who spent over 20 years in the NHS before moving into workplace mediation.

Each participant will receive personalised coaching, mentoring and feedback including a written assessment with personalised comments at the end of the course.
